Dr. Jack Daniels is a running legend! Many of us will know him as the author of Daniels’ Running Formula, a go-to text book for many coaches, outlining his training philosophies.

I always enjoy listening to him speak, as so many of his key coaching principals seem to echo our own views and the discussions we have with our coached athletes.

Part 1 – Key Factors to Success

Part 2 – Least Work for Maximum Benefit

He sums up by succinctly bullet-pointing his three important points in run training:

  1. Don’t overtrain
  2. Focus on the given task
  3. Be consistent

  • I believe that I’ve definitely learned my lesson on overtraining because I found out I’ve messed up my legs from running everyday of the week for over a month. This video would’ve been good to watch earlier I guess
