Super Targeted Calf Stretch for Runners

This is one of the best calf stretches for runners to relieve tightness in the lower leg. In the video above, I’m going to show you my favourite calf stretch to target tightness in the various different areas of your calf region.

This subtle variation of a classic calf stretch against the wall is perfect for those with tight calves, and allows you to target areas of the inner and outer calf specifically.

  1. Your website is fantastic for the side of running that we often forget/neglect. As a runner who suffers with calf cramp at longer distance (over 10 miles for a half and over 20 miles for a full marathon), I am always looking at ways to strengthen my legs.

    I understand from a sports massage that the pain from the cramps is where the MCL connects, do you have any advice for strengthen this area?
