Strength Training For Runners

Most athletes below Elite and Professional levels don’t experience the performance and injury prevention benefits of regular strength training in their weekly training schedule.
As runners, there is no need for us to be pushing heavy weights or putting on significant muscle bulk. The Kinetic Revolution Method includes regular body weight strength exercises and core exercises for runners which can be done anywhere with little or no equipment.
Dedicating just a small chunk of your weekly training volume to improving your running specific strength and stability, both in the core region and globally will quickly provide noticeable performance gains, particularly in terms of speed and power and reductions in the risk of injury.
We provide athletes with gym based and non-gym based exercise programs to supplement their current training plan so as to improve functional strength and stability.
This blog post on multiplanar exercises for runners helps to explain our philosophy on strength training for runners.
