Back Mobility Exercises For Runners

A common issue amongst many runners, and endurance athletes in general is the chronic and sometimes painful stiffness that manifests itself in the lower back region.

Many of the runners and triathletes we work with originally come to us with a whole-body lack of mobility and flexibility, due to postural, stability, lifestyle (work) and training issues.

Generally speaking, we find that simply improving back mobility provides a great “bang for your buck” in terms of felling and moving better as a runner.

Here’s a video where Matt, one of our marathon runners demonstrates a couple of our favorite back mobility exercises for runners.
